- New Students must arrive 15 minutes prior to class. No advance sign-up necessary. Changing rooms and bathroom but no shower facilities.
- Classes are 85-90 minutes, please try to be on time and complete the whole class (rest as needed).
- Your experience in the room will be a function of the temperature combined with relative humidity and will vary based on the size of class and time of the year. We strive to maintain temp at between 102-107 degrees and between 40% and 60% humidity. These are ideal practicing levels and are recommended by Bikram himself.
- Inform your instructor of any serious health problems or injuries.
- Practice on an empty stomach, and hydrate well at least 40 minutes before class.
- Bring water and large bath towel. Towel may be rented.
- Wear light and free moving exercise clothes.
- Do not wear perfume or cologne.
- The effects of yoga are cumulative. Being consistent over time will have profound and lasting effects. Yoga practice should become a part of everyday life.
- Regular practice helps develop awareness of your own personal line between challenge and unhealthy struggle. Start slow, and listen to your body.
- Be mindful and carefully focus on moving in and out of each posture using your breath.
- Your yoga practice improves significantly during relaxation postures. Try to remain in the studio for final relaxation. (Savasana)
